Morris Minor is a British small car debuted at the Earls Court Motor Show in London in 1948. It was designed by a team, led by Alec Issigonis (of Mini fame).
More than 1.3 million were manufactured between 1948 and 1971. Originally available as a 2 door saloon and tourer or convertible, the range was expanded to a 4 door saloon in 1950, a wooden framed estate or Traveller version, panel van and pick-up in 1952
The Minor was manufactured in three series, Series I or MM (1948-52), Series II (1952-56) and finally the 1000 series (1956-71): it's predecessor was the Morris 8, it was replaced by the Morris 1100 and Marina.
An earlier verson of the Morris Minor was produced from 1928-33 and was similar to the Austin 7.
